Lullaby Hour

30th May 2019

The BBC visited the Neonatal unit at QCCH recently to make a short film about the musical performances given for families on our neonatal units, which is part of the innovative Integrated Family Delivered Care Programme led by Aniko Deierl and Jayanta Banerjee and MDT team. Singer songwriter Emma Stevens makes regular visits to the trust’s neonatal units to perform soothing lullabies for families and their babies.

The initiative is supported by Imperial Health Charity, who provide funding together with charity Music in Hospitals and Care to run the sessions.

BBC Breakfast’s social media team came to make the short film at Queen Charlotte’s, which has since been viewed more than 45K times on their Facebook page, as well as featuring on their Twitter feed. Great exposure for this lovely initiative!
